Vice President of Enterprise Reporting and Data Services

Mission

The Vice President of Enterprise Reporting and Data Services will be responsible for leading and overseeing the organization’s enterprise-wide reporting and data services strategy, operations, and delivery. This executive will play a critical role in shaping the data-driven culture by ensuring that actionable insights are effectively delivered across all business units. The VP will oversee the development of data reporting solutions, governance, and analytics, ensuring that the organization maximizes its data assets to drive decision-making and support business growth.

Location:

This is a full-time remote position based in Texas, with preference given to candidates who live in Austin, El Paso, Houston, Permian Basin (Midland/Odessa), Rio Grande Valley, San Antonio, and Tarrant County (Fort Worth), or who are willing to relocate.

Travel Expectations

  • Travel to IDEA training events or step-back maybe required.

Essential Duties

What You’ll Do – Accountabilities

  • Ensure enterprise reporting and data services deliver highest efficiencies, value, and functionality to drive organizational priorities and results
  • Continuously improve data management practices resulting in strong data governance and data health
  • Achieve excellence in service models to deliver highly available infrastructure and network services.
  • Create org wide efficiencies and value streams through business process engineering & management

Additional Duties And Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of the enterprise data and reporting strategy, aligning it with overall business objectives.
  • Responsible for evaluating new and emerging technologies, tools, and platforms, recommending solutions that align with business needs and drive application innovation.
  • Ensure data governance standards and best practices are established and adhered to across all reporting and data services functions.
  • Directs the production of appropriate operations documentation, standards, and communication.
  • Directs the development and execution of industry best practices procedures to continuously monitor performance and improve operation service levels to schools and offices.

They ensure alignment between individual growth and organizational goals, and they develop programs that address the needs of diverse groups within the organization.
  • Build a Culture of Trust: This Leader strategically promotes trust and psychological safety across broader groups, implementing policies and practices that support these values and modeling them in every leadership action.
  • Communicate Deliberately: This leader is responsible for communicating complex ideas and strategies across multiple teams or departments. They develop and deliver messages that align with organizational goals, ensuring that their communication strategies enhance team alignment and strategic execution.

Required Experience

  • Education: Bachelors in information systems, Computer Science, or Business Administration
  • Intermediate to advanced mastery of AGILE and/or Waterfall project methodologies
  • Exceptional quantitative and technical skills
  • 5+ years in data management, reporting, analytics, or relative areas, with a least 3 years in leadership or senior position.

Preferred Experience

  • Masters preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • This is a sedentary position.

What We Offer

Compensation & Benefits:

Salaries for people entering this role typically fall between $145,500 and $177,500, commensurate with relevant experience and qualifications and in alignment with internal equity. This role is also eligible for performance pay based on organizational performance and goal attainment.
