Job summary

Simbe Robotics is seeking a Vice President of Engineering to unify our full-stack engineering organization across robotics, hardware, AI, cloud, and data systems in a fast-growing retail tech environment.

You will own engineering strategy and delivery, ensure architectural cohesion, and drive production readiness for Tier 1 B2B customers, partnering with product and commercial teams to align priorities with revenue growth.

Qualifications

• Experience leading multi-disciplinary engineering teams delivering deployed robotics or IoT systems.
• Experience overseeing hardware and software groups.
• Strong systems-thinking across mechanical, electrical, embedded, AI, and cloud architectures.
• Track record of scaling engineering in growth-stage companies.
• Experience delivering enterprise-grade products to Tier 1 B2B customers.
• Ability to raise engineering rigor while maintaining startup velocity.
• Credible technical leader guiding senior domain experts in hardware, AI, and software.
• Experience partnering with commercial teams to translate technical investments into business impact.

Responsibilities

• Own engineering strategy, execution, and delivery across hardware and software domains.
• Drive architectural alignment across mechanical, electrical, embedded, AI, cloud, and data systems.
• Establish scalable engineering processes, quality standards, and release discipline.
• Ensure production readiness, field reliability, and measurable system performance for Tier 1 B2B customers.
• Partner closely with Product, Commercial, Customer Success, and Operations to align engineering priorities with revenue growth and customer outcomes.
• Balance near-term delivery commitments with long-term technical innovation.
• Build and develop high-performing, cross-disciplinary engineering leaders.
• Advance Simbe’s leadership in robotics, computer vision, AI, and cloud-based retail intelligence.
