Job summary

GondolaBio is seeking a development sciences leader to advance oligonucleotide and other novel modalities from target engagement to first‑in‑human and early clinical proof of concept. You will integrate nonclinical pharmacology, DMPK, biomarkers, clinical pharmacology, and quantitative sciences into a coherent development plan while staying hands‑on in a fast‑moving, early‑stage environment.

Qualifications

• PhD/PharmD/MD or equivalent degree in a relevant field.
• 12+ years in biopharmaceutical drug development with leadership experience.
• Experience advancing programs from nonclinical to first‑in‑human.

Responsibilities

• Direct nonclinical PK/PD strategy spanning target engagement and efficacy.
• Oversee ADME and DMPK characterization for candidate selection and IND‑enabling work.
• Lead biomarker identification and nonclinical‑to‑clinical biomarker strategy.
• Drive clinical biomarker qualifications to support proof of mechanism & concept.
• Own FIH through Phase 2 development strategy and plans.
• Direct clinical pharmacology including Phase 1 studies.
• Lead data analytics, pharmacometrics, biostatistics, and data management.
• Oversee nonclinical and translational study execution and vendor management.
• Direct bioanalytical assay development for PK, biomarkers, and immunogenicity.
• Oversee nonclinical and clinical bioanalytical operations.
• Partner with clinical development, regulatory, CMC, and research for integrated plans and submissions.
