Job summary

SMBC in Charlotte, NC, seeks a Vice President to lead Control Design and Monitoring across Cybersecurity, Data, and Technology. You will evaluate design and operating effectiveness of key controls within a financial services setting and partner with Technology, Data and Cybersecurity stakeholders.

This role requires deep IT risk management experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to drive remediation with senior leaders.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Audit/Operational Risk with banking domain.
• 3-5 years in Cybersecurity and Tech Risk controls.
• Experience testing technology/cyber controls.

Responsibilities

• Execute risk-based control testing across cybersecurity, data, and technology domains.
• Perform Monitoring routines with documentation and analysis.
• Assess control effectiveness and recommend improvements.
• Prepare work-papers and reports within deadlines.
• Communicate program requirements and remediation outcomes to stakeholders.
• Support tracking of issues and action plans.
• Identify control weaknesses and process inefficiencies.
