Ascend Austin is part of an impactful network with 65+ chapters across North America, dedicated to empowering professionals at all career stages. We offer leadership programs, cross-industry networking, and mentorship—powered entirely by volunteers from top global companies.

️ Lead and manage the strategy and execution of all community and social events to align with our mission and member interests.

️ Collaborate and build partnerships with board members, local organizations, corporate sponsors, and community groups to co-host or support events.

️ Own the process from ideation and budgeting to promotion and day-of logistics - ensuring high-quality, impactful experiences.

️ Track impact and engagement metrics to continuously improve future events.

This role offers a leadership seat and an opportunity to shape the local impact of a national organization.

- Proven experience in event planning (professional or volunteer).

- A passion for community, culture, and advancing AAPI professionals.

- Commitment to a volunteer role, for up to 10 hours of work a month. Remote work, based in Austin.

- Previous experience with community-building, nonprofit leadership, or volunteer teams is a plus.
