Job summary

Blacksmith Agency LLC is seeking a VP of Business Development for Veterinary to own our largest multi-location deals from the first meeting with ownership to the signed contract. One win covers many locations and requires navigating multiple stakeholders.

As an individual contributor, you will close high-value veterinary groups with inbound leads and a dedicated sales development team fueling meetings. Expect long, strategic cycles across 3–12 months.

Qualifications

• Proven track record closing $1M+ yearly in large accounts.
• Experience selling to veterinary groups or multi-location buyers.
• Long, consultative sales cycles with multiple decision makers.
• Preference for closing over team management.

No direct reports. This is an individual contributor seat going after strategic, multi-location veterinary accounts: large groups you open and close yourself.

About The Role

Blacksmith Agency is an AI-first digital agency running websites, SEO and paid media for veterinary groups and multi-clinic practices. As VP of Business Development for Veterinary, you own our largest multi-location veterinary deals, from the first meeting with ownership to the signed contract. One win covers many locations, so each deal is large, multi-stakeholder and worth the work. Our sales development team and inbound put qualified meetings with these groups on your calendar, so your time goes to closing.

The seat

• $2M annual quota, carried on a small number of large accounts.
• Leads fed to you: meetings with veterinary groups and multi-clinic practices, booked by our sales development team or inbound.
• No management. No team to build, hire or run.
• Strategic accounts: veterinary groups with many locations, where one signed deal covers the whole group and opens the next.

What You Will Own

What You Bring

• A record of closing $1M+ a year on large, multi-location or enterprise accounts.
• Selling into veterinary groups, or marketing and agency services to similar multi-location buyers.
• Long, consultative cycles with several decision makers. If your background is high-volume, single-location or one-call transactional sales, this is a different job.
• You would rather close business than manage people.
