Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking an Applied AI/ML - Vice President in Wholesale Payments Operations to lead enterprise AI/ML initiatives. You will build production services on AWS, govern models, and mentor engineers while partnering with senior stakeholders to define roadmaps and success metrics.

You will deploy NLP, OCR, and LLM workflows, drive scalable data pipelines, and ensure responsible AI practices across multi-quarter roadmaps within the Consumer Investment Banking team.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in a quantitative field.
• 6 years of professional software engineering experience.
• 4 years of advanced Python development in production.
• 4 years of production ML systems on AWS (SageMaker, Lambda, ECS/EKS, S3).
• Experience delivering AI/ML solutions with measurable business outcomes.
• Experience in object-oriented design and distributed systems.
• Experience deploying LLM-based applications including RAG and fine-tuning.
• Hands-on NLP, OCR, or document AI in production.
• Experience with MLOps tools (MLflow, Kubeflow, Airflow, feature stores).
• Mentoring engineers and driving roadmaps.

Responsibilities

• Partner with senior stakeholders to frame problems and align AI/ML roadmaps.
• Lead architecture, design, and end-to-end delivery of enterprise AI/ML solutions.
• Write production-grade code and set engineering standards.
• Champion SDLC, CI/CD, and DevOps practices across the team.
• Deploy and operate AI/ML services on AWS at scale.
• Design scalable data pipelines for model training and inference.
• Establish model governance, monitoring, and responsible AI practices.
• Mentor engineers and participate in code/design reviews.
