Robert Half is working with a healthcare organization in Des Moines seeking to hire a VP of Accounting/Corporate Controller. The chosen candidate will play a crucial role in shaping financial strategy, maintaining the organization's financial health, and managing accounting operations. This role will involve financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and ensuring growth is sustainable and compliant.

Responsibilities:
  1. Oversee the creation and implementation of a finance and accounting organizational design that matches current and future business needs.
  2. Develop and lead strategic financial planning and budget process.
  3. Manage cash flow, working capital, and capital allocation strategies for optimal efficiency.
  4. Implement predictive tools, systems, and models to make actionable recommendations that drive performance outcomes.
  5. Ensure the preparation and accuracy of all financial reporting.
  6. Identify potential financial risks and work with the Leadership Team to develop mitigation strategies.
  7. Transition from current accounting system to industry-specific ERP software.
  8. Develop a culture of accountability, integrity, ethics, and transparency within the finance and accounting department.
  9. Provide actionable financial insights to the CEO, Leadership Team, and Shareholders to guide decisions on all financial matters.
  10. Develop and maintain standard operating procedures within the finance and accounting department.
  11. Implement improvements in treasury functions.
Requirements
  1. Must possess strong expertise in Accounting Functions.
  2. Proven experience with Auditing is essential.
  3. Proficiency in QuickBooks is a must along with other ERP background.
  4. Capable of performing Budgeting and Forecasting tasks.
  5. Experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP& A) is necessary.
  6. In-depth knowledge of GAAP Accounting is expected.
  7. Degree in accounting or finance + 10 or more years of progressive accounting experience.
  8. 5+ years as Controller or CFO.
