Job summary

Alumis is seeking a VP of Medical Affairs to lead Medical Affairs, Field Medical Liaisons, and publications. You will partner with clinical development and the commercial team to shape scientific strategy and drive launches, notably envudeucitinib for psoriasis.

Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, this leader will build a global team, oversee budgets and KPIs, collaborate with KOLs and journals, and ensure compliant medical communications and market access planning.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Biotech/Pharma Medical Affairs experience.
• 5+ years of people leadership experience.
• Knowledge of government and industry guidelines/regulations for scientific exchanges.
• Ability to lead by example and foster collaboration.
• Ability to manage multiple complex projects concurrently.
• Proven ability to build internal and external relationships with KOLs and experts.
• Excellent communication across levels and clear presentation.
• Willingness to travel 25-40% to conferences and meetings.
• Headquarters in the SF Bay Area with regular presence required.
• Extensive dermatology experience, psoriasis favored; SLE desirable; Phase 3 launch experience desirable.
• Advanced degree required; MD preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Medical Affairs function at Alumis and oversee publications.
• Develop and implement Medical Affairs strategies and operational plans.
• Represent company externally and manage pre-launch needs.
• Lead medical launch preparations for psoriasis candidate envudeucitinib.
• Build a global Medical Affairs team and KPI reporting.
• Collaborate with commercial for educational materials and market access strategies.
• Oversee budgets and publication strategy for major congresses and journals.
