About the Role

We are seeking a hospitality focused VP/MD of Commercial Real Estateto join our growing team. This role is ideal for a commercial real estate professional with a brokerage, lending, or banking background who’s excited to combine CRE finance with technology development. Title is dependent on years of experience.

As a VP/MD, you will be responsible for managing hospitality debt placement transactions end-to-end, from deal origination and client relationship management to lender placement and funding. As a MD/VP of Commercial Real Estate, you'll be at the forefront of our strategic expansion, directly impacting growth by connecting middle-market borrowers to competitive financing solutions. You’ll also play a strategic role in refining our internal processes and product roadmap by collaborating directly with our engineering and product teams.

This role reports directly to the Head of CRE.

Location:Flexible (Remote or Hybrid, Phoenix, NYC preferred)

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Development:Proactively identify new opportunities to expand our borrower and lender network, leveraging existing relationships and strategically pursuing new partnerships to increase deal volume and platform adoption.
  • Relationship Building & Deal Execution:Proactively cultivate and nurture relationships with Centers of Influence (COIs), commercial lenders, and middle-market hotel owners, ensuring a robust and active referral pipeline.
  • End-to-End Deal Management:Drive deals from initial sourcing through borrower evaluation, lender coordination, and successful closing and funding.
  • Strategic Engagement:Collaborate closely with our extensive lender network, including Commercial Banks, SBA lenders, and Private Lenders, to provide tailored debt solutions to middle-market businesses.

What You Bring to the Team

  • 3+ years of experience in commercial real estate financing, preferably in brokerage, debt advisory or direct lending roles. Hotel experience is prioritized.
  • Proven ability to originate and close debt transactions I the $1MM-25MM range with deep familiarity in structuring loans across various capital sources (banks, SBA, CMBS, non-bank)
  • Established network of referral sources and lenders including mortgage brokers, bankers, COI’s and middle market business owners.
  • Tech forward mindset with enthusiasm for leveraging technology to improve borrower and lender experience, streamline internal workflows and scale business development.
  • Entrepreneurial Drive, comfortable working in high-growth and fast paced environments where processes are still being built and iterated
  • Strong communication and client management skills with the ability to lead conversations with borrowers, underwriters, and product/engineering teams alike.
  • Collaborative spirit with desire to contribute to product development by providing feedback on tools that support origination, underwriting and closing.
