Job summary

Vizient seeks an Associate Vice President, Market & Client Research to lead the market and client research capability within the Office of Strategy Management. You will design and deliver high-priority research on healthcare markets, client needs, and market drivers, coordinating with cross-functional partners to build an integrated market perspective.

You will personally lead primary and secondary studies, translate findings into strategic insights, and guide environmental scenario planning

Qualifications

• Broad and deep knowledge of the U.S. healthcare industry and its stakeholders; demonstrated ability to connect signals into a market perspective.
• Significant experience leading primary and secondary market research and enterprise-level deliverables.
• Advanced knowledge of qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-methods research and data handling.
• Ability to translate strategic questions into researchable questions and deliver evidence-based results.
• Hands-on player-coach who delivers high-priority research and builds team capability.

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver market research baselines and driver frameworks for major deliverables (VMO, Environmental Assessments, strategic briefs).
• Lead end-to-end primary and secondary research on healthcare markets and client needs across the organization.
• Coordinate with Marketing Insights and Product to understand evolving client needs and adoption willingness.
• Synthesize findings into a coherent healthcare market perspective and advise on strategy and investments.
• Establish research quality standards and AI-enabled workflows across the function.
