Job summary

Vizient, Inc. seeks an Associate Vice President, Market & Client Research to lead its market research capability within the SMRII function.

You will personally deliver high-priority research including the Vizient Market Outlook and Environmental Assessments, driving a coherent market perspective across healthcare markets and client needs. You will synthesize evidence to inform strategic decisions, author major deliverables, and partner with stakeholders to ensure rigorous research.

Qualifications

Broad and deep knowledge of the U.S. healthcare industry and its stakeholders; demonstrated ability to connect signals into a coherent market perspective.
Significant experience leading and delivering primary and secondary market research, including enterprise-level market perspectives and environmental assessments.
Advanced knowledge of qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-methods research, including design, sampling, interviews, surveys, segmentation, regressions, and data structures.
Ability to translate strategic questions into researchable questions and deliver evidence-based results, noting bias and data quality issues.
Ability to synthesize diverse analyses into implications for enterprise strategy and investment.
Hands-on leader who builds team capability and facilitates evidence-based decisions.
Experience using AI-enabled research tools to improve scanning, synthesis, and deliverable development.

Responsibilities

Own and deliver the market research base and framework underlying major deliverables; translate evidence into trends, questions, risks, and decisions.
Ground strategy with rigorous research and cross-functional alignment across the organization.
Lead end-to-end design, execution, synthesis, and communication of primary and secondary healthcare research; deliver high-priority studies.
Lead client research with Marketing Insights and Product to understand evolving client needs and willingness to adopt.
Integrate trends into a coherent healthcare market perspective with senior leaders across the business.
Lead readouts and sessions to help leaders interpret findings and determine next actions.
Build research delivery capability with standards, methodology protocols, and AI-enabled workflows.
