Job summary

Coller Capital in New York is seeking a Vice President to lead screening, diligence, structuring, and execution of LP-led investments. The VP will guide a junior team and coordinate with in-house legal, fund administration, and external board members.

The role emphasizes market research, stakeholder management, and ongoing monitoring of investments, with travel to industry events as needed.

Qualifications

MBA and/or Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field.
5-7 years experience within private equity and/or investment banking.
Private equity LP-led secondaries’ experience required.
Strong technical skills, including ability to read fund financials, financial modelling, and commercial judgement.
Experience with negotiation and structuring of legal documentation.
Understanding of market structure, dynamics, key players.
Exemplary written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Coordinate screening of new opportunities, detailed analysis, and preparation of investment committee materials.
Present investment recommendations to stakeholders and support Principals/MDs in origination activities.
Manage junior team during analysis, and oversee ad-hoc reporting tasks.
Oversee structuring, execution, and closing of transactions with internal/external teams.
Build relationships with Finance, CIO’s Office, Investor Relations and other units.
Conduct market and industry research to stay informed on trends.
Attend industry events and support external network development.
