Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum five years of experience in lending.

• Ability to interpret complex technical instructions and work with multiple variables.

Job Title: VP & Loan Officer III
Department: Commercial Loan Center III (HQ or OC Satellite Office)

We are looking for a VP & Loan Officer III to join our Commercial Loan Center III ("CLC III") team at Open Bank! The VP & Loan Officer III is responsible for underwriting, documenting, processing, and maintaining a loan portfolio of lending products.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently evaluates and underwrites loan applications in accordance with the bank's loan policies, procedures, and generally accepted prudent lending practices.
• Interview applicants for new loans and discuss available loan products, terms, and requirements to ensure appropriate product selection.
• Structure loan packages based on clients’ needs, financial condition, and risk profile while aligning with bank lending standards.
• Conduct thorough credit analysis and risk assessments, and present findings, recommendations, and risk considerations to management.
• Site visitations to new and existing borrowers.
• Review loan agreements to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with bank policies.
• Monitor and follow up on tickler items to ensure timely completion of outstanding requirements.
• Provide high-quality service to existing and prospective clients, including obtaining required documentation to support lending activities and other bank departments.

Requirements/Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum five years of experience in lending required.
• Good written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate effectively and project a professional image when giving and taking information in writing, in person, and over the phone.
• Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or client complaints.
• Present a professional image in dealing with customers, interdepartmental members, and external representatives.
• Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
• Strong analytical skills with a thorough understanding of lending operations and client needs.
• Accurate typing/keyboarding skills; basic computer skills, including the use of word processing, spreadsheet software applications, and e-mail.
