Senior Project Manager Risk Technology

MUST be local to New York City, Hybrid Schedule, at least 3 days onsite

Salary Range: $105k - $175k

Highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Manager to join Risk technology PMO team. As a Senior Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing Front Office, Risk and Regulatory programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage multiple Major Projects in IT Front Office Risk Technology
• Manage planning, track open issues, documentation, and status updates for the ongoing projects.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time and track budget spend and communicate any delays to stakeholders.
• Provide estimates for new initiatives, manage project scope and timelines.
• Collaborate with other project managers to ensure that any dependencies are tracked and any blockers are resolved.
• Ensure that business requirements are translated into detailed functional and technical specifications.
• Act as a bridge between technical and non-technical teams, ensuring clear communication and understanding of project progress, design decisions, and Agile practices
• Work closely with Technology Leads and development teams to design solutions that meet business needs
• Track Development tasks and ensure product is thoroughly tested prior to Go-Live.
• For Agile Projects, serve as the Scrum Master for one or more agile teams, ensuring agile practices are followed and understood.
• Coordinate sprints, retrospective meetings and daily stand-ups.
• Work with product owners to handle backlogs and new requests
• Resolve conflicts and remove obstacles
• Generate and publish monthly reports for Senior Management
• Ensure weekly status reports are published to all stakeholders

Qualifications:

• 12+ years of experience as a Sr. PM in IT with more than 8 years in Financial Institutions
• Hands on Knowledge of concepts and processes of Market Risk
• Experience in Credit Risk or Liquidity Risk domains will also be acceptable.
• Strong Knowledge of Financial Instruments, Derivatives
• Hands on experience with data analysis
• Expert in managing JIRA boards, JIRA Dashboards, Confluence pages, Excel reporting, and creating and tracking KPIs
