Job summary

New York Life is seeking a Corporate Vice President, Cyber Security Incident Management Lead to own enterprise incident response from activation through containment, eradication and recovery. You will act as the senior incident commander, coordinating cross‑functional teams across Security Operations, forensics, cloud, network and business units.

You will align the program with NIST SP 800-61 and the NIST Cybersecurity Framework, drive documentation, regulatory readiness and executive reporting,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent work experience.
• Eight or more years of cyber security or technology experience.
• Four or more years in incident response or incident management.
• Working knowledge of NIST SP 800-61 and NIST CSF.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and communicate with executives.

Responsibilities

• Act as the enterprise Incident Commander for cybersecurity incidents with end-to-end accountability from activation through recovery.
• Direct cross-functional response across SOC, threat intel, forensics, cloud, network, and business teams.
• Oversee evidence handling, chain of custody, and investigative documentation for regulatory and legal use.
• Lead incident management governance, alignment with NIST frameworks, and regulatory readiness.
• Prepare executive communications, dashboards, and metrics on incident activity and outcomes.
