Job summary

Charles Schwab in Austin seeks a VP, Active Trader Financial Consultant to grow an affluent wealth management practice and deepen client relationships through tailored investment strategies, trading tools, and planning-based wealth management.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree, active Series 7/66 licenses, Life/Health licenses, and 4+ years in financial services. You will lead client discussions on trading, risk, and education while coordinating with partners to deliver solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work-related experience.
• Active Series 7 license is required.
• Active Series 66 license is required (may be obtained within 90 days).
• Active Life/Health Insurance license is required (may be obtained within 120 days).
• 4+ years of financial services experience with retail clients and wealth management experience.

Responsibilities

• Practice a consultative, goal-based wealth management approach to assess client needs and propose solutions.
• Analyze client investment objectives and provide investment advice and coaching on trading strategies.
• Increase branch/brand awareness by leveraging referrals and centers of influence.
• Maintain a consistent client relationship management process to delight and retain clients.
• Engage with clients to build trust, improve retention, and drive referrals.
