JPMorganChase in the Valuation Control Group Technology team seeks a Lead Software Engineer (VP) to guide architecture and delivery of secure, scalable software across Python/Athena, Databricks, and AWS.

You will mentor teams, set coding standards, drive CI/CD, production monitoring, and collaborate with valuation control, risk, finance, quants to ensure compliant, auditable systems. Expect leadership in an agile environment with enterprise-grade practices.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end architecture for Athena (Python), Databricks (PySpark/Delta Lake), and AWS-based platforms.
• Develop and enhance pricing, risk, IPV, valuation reporting tools within Athena.
• Design, build, and optimize large-scale Databricks ETL and analytics pipelines for pricing and P&L data.
• Architect and manage cloud-native AWS solutions, including infrastructure, security, and modernization initiatives.
• Establish engineering best practices, CI/CD, testing frameworks, and production monitoring.
