Job summary

Biodesix De Soto Laboratory is seeking a VP, Lab Operations to lead day-to-day operations and guide technical and regulatory functions for the clinical testing facility. The role oversees staff training, QA, and LIMS-driven workflows to ensure accurate, timely diagnostic reports.

Qualified candidates hold a PhD or MD with 10+ years of regulatory and senior lab leadership experience, and demonstrate strong cross-functional collaboration skills across development, quality, and regulatory teams.

Qualifications

• PhD or MD required with 10+ years in regulatory interactions and senior-level laboratory operations experience.
• Experience managing CAP/CLIA accredited testing laboratories and regulatory interfaces.
• Strong leadership, communication, and project management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the De Soto laboratory and supervise Development team activities.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and quality systems; support CAP/CLIA inspections and NYS requirements.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning for the laboratory functions.
• Represent lab interests in cross-functional governance, vendor selection, and product development initiatives.
