Job summary

Citigroup Inc. in Jersey City, NJ, seeks an experienced KDB+ Developer at VP level to build and support our analytics backbone for the Equities Electronic Trading product. You will lead applications systems analysis and programming for analytics and data subsystems.

Responsibilities include leading core development on the KDB+ platform, delivering high-volume, low-latency analytics, coordinating with Citi Equities Electronic Trading Technology, and mentoring mid-level developers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience with KDB+ and Q language.
• Practical experience scaling and load-balancing KDB+ applications.
• Proven expertise in building resilient, high-availability KDB+ apps.
• Extensive experience optimizing queries on large datasets (TBs/PB).
• Strong knowledge of market protocols (e.g., FIX).

Responsibilities

• Lead core development on the KDB+ platform for Citi's Equities Electronic Trading system.
• Build and maintain low-latency analytics processing for large market data sets.
• Architect and maintain data platforms and analytics services for trading applications.
• Collaborate with management across teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Mentor mid-level developers and ensure compliant, well-documented code.
