Job summary

Landmark Credit Union seeks a VP of IT Platforms to lead strategy, engineering, operations, and modernization of core infrastructure and platform services. This executive drives cloud, DevOps, SRE, and security initiatives in a regulated financial setting, reporting to the SVP, IT.

You will own platform health and engineering maturity across infrastructure domains while partnering with Security and business stakeholders to ensure resilient, observable, and scalable foundations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive IT infrastructure or platform leadership experience, incl. enterprise infrastructure strategy & engineering teams.
  • Proven experience leading cloud infrastructure, DevOps/platform engineering, systems engineering, and network engineering in a complex environment.
  • Experience building or maturing SRE, observability, or reliability engineering practices in production environments.
  • Strong understanding of monitoring, telemetry, incident management, resiliency, automation, and service performance management.
  • Experience partnering with Information Security and embedding security engineering into platform work.
  • Strong executive communication, prioritization, and cross-functional leadership, esp. in regulated environments.
  • Must understand and comply with all job-related laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute a multi-year platform strategy for cloud, infrastructure, automation, reliability, and standards.
  • Serve as senior infrastructure and platform leader reporting to the SVP, IT, building leadership depth.
  • Lead design, implementation, support, and optimization of cloud and on-prem infrastructure platforms for HA, scalability, and cost efficiency.
  • Oversee systems and network engineering, including architecture standards and lifecycle management.
  • Build and mature DevOps practices to improve deployment speed, environment consistency, and stability.
  • Drive infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD enablement, and platform automation to reduce manual work.
  • Establish and lead an SRE capability focused on reliability, incident reduction, and operational readiness.
  • Build an enterprise observability strategy with monitoring, logging, alerting, tracing, and SLIs/SLAs.
  • Define and track reliability practices: incident response, root cause analyses, postmortems, and availability reporting.
  • Partner with Information Security to embed secure design, hardened platform controls, and secure ops.
  • Collaborate on vulnerability remediation, IAM, logging, monitoring, and platform security standards.
  • Ensure platform services support business continuity, disaster recovery, and regulatory resilience.

Job description

The VP, IT Platforms is responsible for the strategy, engineering, operations, and continual modernization of Landmark Credit Union’s core infrastructure and platform services. This leader provides enterprise ownership for cloud platforms, DevOps and automation, network engineering, systems engineering, and the build-out of site reliability engineering capabilities, while partnering closely with Information Security to ensure platforms are secure, resilient, observable, and scalable. The VP, IT Platforms reports to the SVP, IT and serves as the senior owner of platform health, resilience, and engineering maturity across core infrastructure domains, clearly separating platform and reliability ownership from application and data solutions ownership.

REQUIREMENTS
  • :Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field required; advanced degree preferred
  • .A minimum of 10 years of progressive IT infrastructure or platform leadership experience, including responsibility for enterprise infrastructure strategy and engineering teams
