Job summary

What will you do as a VP, Human Resources?

You will act as a HR Business Partner and Human Capital leader supporting investment professionals and business leadership across the Americas (US & Brazil). You will own the translation of global programs and initiatives into locally relevant, well-received programming for the U.S. (and broader Americas) employee population, while advising leaders and employees on the full employee lifecycle, immigration, and complex workforce matters. This is a front-facing, idea-generation role: you will conceive, design, and deliver the region's engagement and development programming, partners directly with business leaders, and mentor one junior team member who supports administrative execution across the portfolio. You will partner closely with business leaders, legal counsel, global HROD teams, mobility specialists, and learning teams to ensure effective people outcomes while supporting organizational growth and compliance.

Focus areas include:

U.S. Immigration, Work Authorization & Global Mobility

  • Lead visa, green card, and PERM sponsorship processes; serve as primary point of contact with external immigration counsel
  • Advise employees and managers on immigration pathways, timelines, and compliance risk
  • Oversee U.S.-bound transfers and relocation
  • Deliver employee education sessions on evolving immigration policy and its practical impact on the workforce

Lead Regional Employee Engagement Initiatives

  • Global-to-Local Program Translation & Regional Programming
  • Drive local both local and global employee engagement events within the regional – new employee social event, alumni, wellness, diversity, etc
  • Act as designated point person for regional event programming across four domains: GIC School/Learning, Culture & Belonging, Wellness, and Business-Specific programming
  • Represent Americas market context and employee feedback back into global program design discussions, flagging where global initiatives need local adaptation

HR Business Partnering, Employee Advisory & Employee Relations

  • Advise business leaders and employees on people matters, performance management, and organizational decisions
  • Assist with new employee onboarding and exiting employees
  • Manage leave administration, accommodations, and employee concerns
  • Partners with Regional Head on Investigating and resolve sensitive workplace matters in partnership with Counsel; maintain case documentation and risk-based guidance
  • Partners with Regional Head on managing offboarding and separation agreements through to case close-out
  • Assist in managing performance review process for local cohort of Executive Assistants

Systems & Cross-Functional Projects

  • Serve as an Americas liaison to Singapore HQ HR teams, translating global initiatives, policy, and program design into locally relevant, compliant, and culturally resonant execution for the U.S. employee population
  • Lead HR technology rollouts affecting the region (e.g., case management systems), including UAT and process documentation
  • Liaise with Finance Department to ensure smooth administration of regional programming

Payroll & Benefits Advisory (Backup Capacity)

  • Serve as backup payroll approver
  • Assist with payroll/benefits related initiatives when called upon
What qualifications or skills should you possess in this role?
  • At least 7 years of broad HR experience, with a strong background in Immigration and at least 3 years interacting with senior stakeholders.
  • Financial Services industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Fully conversant and up-to-date with all aspects of employment law and HR best practice.
  • The ability to independently execute HR task and resolve issues and recommend solutions for processes and policies independently.
  • Ability to follow process, have a solution finding and improvement mind-set.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, integrity and professionalism at all times.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Exposure to payroll review
  • Comfortable working in a hands-on environment with a broad range of responsibilities.
  • An inquisitive mind-set and self-driven/motivated.
  • Comfortable working in a regional office of a global organization.

Compensation

Our compensation philosophy reflects several principles. We strive to provide a competitive compensation package to attract and retain talent globally. We pay for performance, and reward sustainable results. Total pay for this position comprises base pay and bonus. The anticipated base salary range for this role is between $175,000 and $225,000. Bonuses, which may form a meaningful proportion of the total pay package, are determined based on company and individual performance.
