Job summary

ModMed is seeking a visionary VP, Government Affairs to lead federal and state policy across health IT, EHR, and AI products. You will partner with the CLO and C-suite to translate policy into business strategy, build relationships with policymakers, and guide regulatory advocacy.

Reporting to the Chief Legal Officer, you will shape the government affairs agenda, manage external consultants, and represent ModMed in industry coalitions, ensuring policy risks and opportunities align with product

Qualifications

• 12+ years of progressive experience in government affairs or related external affairs roles, especially in healthcare/health tech/AI
• Experience developing and executing federal/state government affairs strategies
• Experience engaging directly with policymakers, regulators, or industry stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute enterprise government affairs and public policy strategy across federal and state environments.
• Build and maintain relationships with policymakers, regulators, and government agencies.
• Lead advocacy on healthcare technology policy, AI regulation, privacy, interoperability and reimbursement.
• Advise CLO and C-suite on policy implications for product, risk and strategy.
• Manage external lobbying firms, consultants, and policy advisors.
• Represent the company in industry coalitions and public policy initiatives.
• Provide executive-level policy guidance to ensure alignment with business goals.
