Job summary

PolicyLink is seeking an experienced Vice President to lead its Governing for All team, driving a bold vision to redesign how the nation governs and serves all people. The role partners with the Chief Strategy Officer to align policy, legal, and operations toward measurable population-level outcomes.

The candidate will foster cross-functional collaboration, manage complex programs, and build relationships with diverse partners while advancing equity and impact. Washington, DC area preferred.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in senior organizational leadership.
• Experience in advocacy, government, public policy, think tanks, or research organizations preferred.
• Proven ability to align program and operations with organizational strategy and lead senior staff.

Responsibilities

• Foster cohesion and alignment with the Chief Strategy Officer, ensuring rigor and credibility across the organization.
• Translate vision into clear priorities and actionable workplans that impact people at scale.
• Manage strategic Governing for All initiatives and supervise staff where needed.
• Build internal systems to drive efficiency, communication, and accountability across teams.
• Define metrics, monitor progress, and ensure timely deliverables.
• Support funding opportunities and program expansion to grow PolicyLink's impact.
