Job summary

Church Pension Group in New York, NY, seeks a VP, Tax Management & Compliance to lead federal and state tax matters for a large non‑profit with global elements. The role drives tax strategy, planning, and day‑to‑day compliance across affiliates, with oversight of forms, reporting, and relations with tax authorities.

The role requires extensive experience, excellent judgment, and the ability to work across Corporate Finance and Legal teams. Hybrid work is offered in a NY office setting.

Qualifications

• Significant involvement with large tax compliance engagements for complex organizations.
• Experience with tax issues relating to employee benefit plans.
• Experience with international individual and corporate taxation.
• Experience with compliance issues relating to payroll and unclaimed property.

Responsibilities

• Advise on federal and state employment tax matters for CPG’s employees, including remote workers.
• Manage annual Form 4720 and related excise tax responsibilities with timely filings.
• Oversee tax reporting processes (1099, 1042, W‑2/941, 1094/1095, W‑9/W‑8) and payments.
• Collaborate to update tax guides and withholding forms for retirement and benefits.
