Job summary

Qualifications

  • 15+ years in communications, media, or related field; international experience preferred.
  • Track record in strategic campaigns for national/global audiences.
  • Exceptional writing and storytelling translating science into public narratives.
  • Demonstrates cultural competency and inclusivity across cultures.
  • Strong contacts in global media and national outlets; multilingual skills valued.
  • Knowledge of climate issues and ability to engage investors and policy audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Architect and drive a proactive global methane communications strategy for EDF's high-impact work.
  • Lead flagship initiatives and navigate politically sensitive terrain to preserve credibility.
  • Coordinate messaging with allies, philanthropies, and EDF fundraising; support spokespersons at major forums.
  • Lead a high-performing team and manage a seven-figure budget for maximum impact.
  • Design campaigns with science and data to influence policy, finance, and action.
  • Monitor policy, science, and industry trends to position EDF as a thought leader.
  • Advance EDF's DEI goals across the organization and with external partners.
