Scope:

The Global VP of EHSS&S is responsible for creating and executing the company’s EHSS&S strategies in line with the overall business strategy. The Global VP of EHSS&S has full accountability for the company’s compliance with EHSS&S and ESG regulations and standards across geographic locations where the business operates. The Global VP of EHSS&S will work with the Executive Team, Regional VPs and EHSS&S Managers at each location to lead and shape our global EHSS&S strategies with the goal of driving improvement and embedding a compliant and culturally mature EHSS&S with a focus on zero harm to both employees and the environment

Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop and drive the EHSS&S vision, strategy and goals across the business combining regulatory compliance, employee safety and protection of the environment. Develop, implement, and maintain environmental aspect in the environmental, social and governance (ESG) programs, including leading the production of the TTM CSR and Roadmap to Carbon Neutral. Communicate EHSS&S requirements with passion and conviction. Develop and deploy strategic EHSS&S KPIs and track performance to drive improved EHSS&S performance improvement by focusing on trends identified by the KPIs. Ensure that all sites have a robust Safety Management Program which is fully executed to protect people, the environment, assets and the product. Assure global compliance with applicable regulatory agencies (HSE, SEPA, EA, OSHA, EPA, DEP, etc.) in addition to driving effective control of chemical legislation such as TSCA and REACH. Maintain surveillance of the external EHSS regulatory horizon and advise business leaders of relevant country regulatory changes, proposing and developing compliance and mitigation plans with the local teams. Evaluate EHSS&S skill levels, evaluate talent, and check performance against company EHSS&S objectives. Ensure development of the EHSS&S staff is effective across all sites in the business. Have a strong ability to evaluate EHSS&S risks and be able to influence business leaders in the correct path to mitigate these risks. Support M&A and divestment activity. Represent the company at external conferences, professional bodies , third party consultancies, regulatory bodies, industry forums and interest groups.

Legal And Other Requirements

Identify applicable EHSS&S regulations and advise Executive team on compliance. Advise and assist Site Management in compliance with EHSS&S requirements including policies, guidance, standards and EHSS&S reporting requirements. Ensure the EHSS&S systems are in place to meet legal requirements and that they are internally audited, actions agreed, and completion tracked. Liaise with external and internal parties on compliance with legal permits and other requirements and ensure all permits and licenses are maintained properly. Ensure all sites have effective emergency evacuation plans which are robust, fully executed and continuously improved.

EHSS&S Processes and Tools

Ensure all sites have sustainable EHSS&S Management systems which are checked regularly for effectiveness (certified systems such as ISO 14001 where required). Ensure that effective systems are in place for accident investigations, ensuring appropriate root cause analysis is carried out and improvement actions recorded, tracked and completed. Ensure hazard studies and risk assessments are in place for all activities and EHSS&S is fully considered in management of change process and capital projects at each site globally. Ensure Environmental aspect and impact analysis has been carried out which identify significant impacts and control measures agreed.

Technical Requirements

Provide technical advice as needed in all areas of EHSS&S, liaising with site management and external specialists where relevant. Ensure EHSS&S training programs are in place and are effective at all sites. Analyze leading and lagging performance on a regular basis constantly evaluating methods of improvement. Track and trend incidents and issues at the sites to ensure clear, data driven focus for value added activities. Ensure processes are in place to report all required EHSS&S data and ensure end of month deadlines are met. Track to ensure all recordable events are completed on time. Evaluate effectiveness of IH and OH programs applicable to each of the sites. Review CAPEX projects to ensure all EHSS&S aspects and impacts are considered and proper risk assessments are conducted. Manage all aspects of EHSS&S Budgets as required.

Qualifications

ESSENTIAL

Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering or similar. 15+ Years’ Experience in a Global / Regional EHSS&S Position in an industrial environment, manufacturing or chemical companies, in positions related to occupational safety, industrial hygiene, or environmental experience. Experience in working effectively in international multi-site organizations. Significant experience in building and maintaining positive relationships internally and externally to the organization. Working knowledge of the applicable international, national & local EHSS&S Standards and regulations is required. U.S. Citizen.

Benefits are available 1st of the month following date of hire.

Compensation for roles at TTM Technologies varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience. As required by local law, TTM provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that my be hired in New York, California and Colorado. For California-based roles, compensation ranges are based upon specific physical locations.

Must comply with TTM Export Control Policies and Procedures and all applicable laws including ITAR, EAR and OFAC including but not limited to: a) being able to identify ITAR product on the manufacturing floor and understand that access to these products and related technical data is restricted to only US Citizens and US Permanent Residents; b) recognition of Foreign Person visitors by badge differentiation; c) understand and follow authorization procedures for bringing foreign visitors into facilities (VAL); d) understand the Export and ITAR requirements for shipments leaving the US; e) manage vendor approvals for ITAR manufacturing and services.
