Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in Dallas seeks a regional VP of Accounting to lead the Global Business Services region, directing complex financial accounting, reporting and policy development.

You will oversee budgeting and forecasting, ensure GAAP compliance, manage outsourced accounting staff, and partner with internal and external auditors to deliver accurate statements for executive leadership. CPA and 5+ years of accounting experience are required, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field required.
• CPA certification required.
• 5+ years of accounting experience.
• 1+ years in a leadership role.
• Proven knowledge of GAAP.
• Experience leading outsourced accounting work and process improvements.
• Strategic orientation with attention to detail.
• Proven influencing and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting function for the assigned region.
• Plan, develop, implement accounting, budgeting, and financial controls.
• Manage outsourced staff and monitor KPIs.
• Partner with the outsourced partner organization for engagement and resources.
• Oversee vendor relationships and contract work review.
• Guide internal and external audits with auditors and regulators.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
• Develop budgets and forecasts; provide GAAP guidance.
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
