Job summary

BNY Mellon is seeking a Vice President, Full-Stack Engineering Lead in New York City to own the technical direction, delivery, and operational health of the Trading & Rebalancing platform. This hands-on leadership role will involve writing code, reviewing architecture, leading incident response, and mentoring engineers while driving the strategic roadmap with Product and Business stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5-9 years of software engineering experience, with distributed systems in financial services.
• Proficiency in Java 17+ / Spring Boot 3.x, Angular 15+, NestJS/TypeScript, and Kafka.
• Experience with NoSQL data models (MongoDB) and multi-tenant platforms.
• Strong knowledge of authentication/authorization (OAuth2, JWT, mTLS, Kerberos).
• Delivery in CI/CD environments with automated quality gates (SonarQube).
• Leadership of Agile teams and strong stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical roadmap for the Trading & Rebalancing platform.
• Lead incident response, ensure high availability during market hours.
• Mentor engineers across frontend, backend, and platform disciplines.
• Design and evolve a multi-persona entitlements architecture.
• Build and operate secure, scalable NestJS GraphQL BFF and microservices.
• Collaborate with Product and Business stakeholders on strategic roadmap.
