Morgan Stanley is seeking a Vice President, FCR Sanctions, to own the sanctions execution program across MSIM, EV, Parametric and MSIM China. You will drive remediation of audit actions and oversee sanctions controls in a fast‑moving, multi‑jurisdictional environment.

Based in New York, this role offers a comprehensive compensation package with base pay in the upper midpoints of the market, and opportunities to influence governance forums and firmwide transformation initiatives.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of relevant experience in sanctions or financial-crimes risk management.
  • Deep expertise in OFAC, OFSI, EU and UN regimes; sanctions screening and reporting obligations.
  • Strong understanding of BSA/AML and KYC requirements; regulatory remediation experience is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; AML/Fin Crimes certifications are advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the MSIM 1L FCR Sanctions subject-matter expert and single point of accountability for the Sanctions program across MSIM, EV, Parametric and MSIM China.
  • Own remediation of open Sanctions audit action plans, including gap analysis, control design, and regulator/audit-ready documentation.
  • Lead end-to-end sanctioned-securities compliance process - pre-trade/post-trade surveillance and monitoring across units.
  • Drive the Manual / Off-Platform Payments Sanctions-screening initiative, including centralization of screening and governance.
  • Act as the primary point of contact and business advisor for all Sanctions matters.
  • Perform and govern Sanctions activities, address escalations, support blocking/freezing and OFAC reporting decisions.
  • Represent MSIM across firmwide Sanctions Transformation pillars and governance forums.
  • Support MSIM China with sanctions risk management and remediation.
  • Embed Sanctions controls ahead of business expansion and provide input into NPAs.
