VP-Head of Legal & Compliance Research @ Madison-Davis, LLC | AML, KYC, BSA

International investment bank headquartered in Midtown Manhattan that is looking to add a VP, Financial Crimes Modeling and Analytics Officer to their team. This hybrid role (2 days onsite per week).

Responsibilities:

• Customize and implement AI-based systems for Transaction Monitoring, Transaction Screening, and Customer Screening, tailored to organizational needs and designed to detect and prevent suspicious activities.
• Perform periodic and event-driven tuning of FCC models using quantitative analysis and ATL/BTL methodologies to optimize configuration settings and threshold values in line with AML and OFAC Risk Assessments.
• Execute periodic Transaction Monitoring (TM) Risk & Typology Coverage Assessments, including:
• Maintaining a typology list from regulators, FATF, and law enforcement.
• Identifying relevant products and services.
• Mapping typologies to applicable monitoring areas.
• Conduct periodic Productivity Assessments to ensure the continued relevance of detection scenarios, rules, thresholds, parameters, and assumptions.
• Perform annual assessments of customer risk rating model inputs and thresholds to ensure alignment with the institution’s risk profile and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and validate FCC data controls, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and completeness within the Transaction Monitoring and Filtering Program.
• Coordinate end-to-end testing for FCC models pre- and post-implementation
• Execute model risk framework and standards for AML and Sanctions models
• Conduct research and pilot innovative solutions to enhance FCC analytics
