Job summary

Global Bank in New York City seeks an experienced VP to lead Strategy and Execution for Finance transformation. You will shape the future-state operating model, translate priorities into a multi-year roadmap, and guide large-scale initiatives across controllership, FP&A, and core Finance functions.

Partner with Finance and Technology leaders to set priorities, define target-state processes, and drive measurable outcomes while ensuring executable implementation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field.
• 8+ years of experience across FP&A, financial accounting, Finance transformation, strategy or advisory roles in financial services.
• CPA, CFA, or comparable certification preferred.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, accounts payable, FP&A, and broader Finance operations.
• Proven experience designing and leading large-scale Finance transformation initiatives from strategy through implementation.
• Ability to operate at both strategic and detailed solution-design levels.
• Experience with SAP, Oracle, or OneStream.
• Experience applying automation, AI and tech-enabled solutions in Finance.

Responsibilities:

• Help define and implement the future-state operating model for a complex global Finance organization.
• Translate broader business priorities into a clear, multi-year Finance transformation roadmap.
• Lead large-scale initiatives spanning controllership, accounts payable, financial planning and analysis, and other core Finance functions.
• Partner with Finance and Technology leadership to evaluate business needs, establish priorities, and develop practical solutions.
• Define target-state processes, solution principles, and measurable outcomes while ensuring initiatives remain executable and aligned with business objectives.
• Facilitate cross-functional working sessions focused on process design, decision-making, implementation, and user adoption.
• Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications for key Finance systems and workflows.
• Drive integration and process simplification across general ledger, subledger, consolidation, planning, and reconciliation platforms.
• Identify opportunities to leverage artificial intelligence, automation, and emerging technologies to improve accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
• Evaluate transformation risks, dependencies, and implementation challenges while coordinating appropriate remediation efforts.
• Communicate strategic recommendations, design decisions, and potential trade-offs to senior stakeholders.
