Vaco is seeking an experienced Vice President of Finance and Accounting for a growing organization located in the Scottsdale area.

Local candidates to Arizona will only be considered at the moment.

Responsibilities include:

• Lead Financial Reporting & Compliance: Oversee preparation of financial statements, ensure GAAP/IFRS compliance, manage audits, tax filings, and internal controls.
• Drive Process Improvement: Identify and implement financial systems and process enhancements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
• Team Leadership & Development: Lead and develop a high-performing accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability, integrity, and growth.
• Strategic Advisory Role: Function as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, aligning financial strategy with business goals and providing actionable insights.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with FP&A and other departments to deliver consolidated reports, KPIs, and variance analyses for informed decision-making.
  

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or Finance is required.
• CPA is required.
• 8+ years' accounting and financial management experience is required
• 7+ years Controller or 5+ years of Dir of Accounting Experience is required.
• Public Accounting experience is required.
• Comprehensive understanding of financial analysis methods and techniques and great expertise of GAAP and IFRS, internal control principles, closing/reporting processes.
• Must be able to work 5 days onsite at the office- no flexibility.
