Harmer is assisting a growing, private investment organization in Miami to identify a VP of Finance & Accounting. This pivotal leadership role will own the accounting and finance function, spanning reporting, treasury, and controls, with broad visibility and autonomy.

You will partner with senior leadership to drive strategic financial decisions, manage complex investment-related accounting, and build a high-performing team to support aggressive growth plans.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required, CPA preferred/required.
• 6-8+ years of progressive accounting experience with strong public accounting audit foundation.
• Experience in investment management or real estate is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, financial reporting, internal controls and processes.
• Entrepreneurial, hands-on professional with strong communication and sound judgment.

Responsibilities Include:

• Oversee the accounting and finance function, including financial reporting, treasury, cash management, and internal controls.
• Partner with senior leadership to provide financial insight and support strategic business decisions.
• Manage corporate and investment-related accounting activities, including financial reporting and complex transactions.
• Oversee internal and external reporting requirements and coordinate with key stakeholders.
• Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and other third-party service providers.
• Support acquisitions, investments, and other strategic initiatives.
• Lead cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, and financial planning activities.
• Evaluate and implement accounting systems, policies, procedures, and process improvements.
• Build and develop the accounting and finance team to support continued growth.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required. CPA required.
• 6-8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including a strong foundation in public accounting audit.
• Experience with investment management, real estate, or other complex organizational structures is a plus
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, financial reporting, internal controls, and accounting processes.
• Entrepreneurial, hands-on professional with strong communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to operate in a growing environment.
