Job summary

Mastercard is seeking a Vice President, Data Management Platforms to lead business product management for enterprise metadata, catalog, governance, lineage, marketplace, and usage/observability platform capabilities. This role owns the product strategy, roadmap, adoption priorities, and measurable business outcomes for platforms such as Atlan and related metadata ecosystem capabilities.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience with data catalog and data governance platforms.
• Knowledge of metadata, data cataloging, lineage, governance workflows, data products, and marketplace concepts.
• Proven Enterprise product management expertise for large-scale platform initiatives, including strategy, roadmaps, and lifecycle management.
• Ability to collaborate with Technology to turn governance and platform needs into scalable capabilities.
• Effective communication with senior leadership and cross-functional partners on complex data concepts.

Responsibilities

• Own the business product strategy, roadmap, and measurable outcomes for data management platform capabilities including metadata, catalog, lineage, governance, and usage observability.
• Translate platform strategy into scalable implementation plans, integrations, release priorities, controls, and operating models with Technology.
• Lead the data catalog and governance platform direction and related metadata ecosystem capabilities (connectivity, publication, lineage, data products).
• Scale adoption and onboarding with Platform Onboarding, training, communications, and stakeholder readiness across data stewards, data product owners, engineers, analysts, and AI teams.
• Serve data governance teams and data user communities as primary internal customers, translating governance needs into practical platform capabilities.
• Advance enterprise metadata context layer with trusted definitions, ownership, lineage, usage, and governance signals.
• Build and lead a high-performing team responsible for platform product management, stakeholder engagement, prioritization, and adoption metrics.
