Job summary

Capstone LLC seeks a VP-level Energy Analyst to drive policy and investment insights across electricity, utilities, and grid infrastructure. You will analyze regulatory developments, craft data-driven theses, and communicate complex views to policymakers and investors.

You’ll lead cross-functional collaboration with policy and research teams, producing client-ready reports and briefs to help clients anticipate market inflection points in the U.S. energy landscape.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred (e.g., Policy, Economics, Finance, Energy).
• Minimum 5 years in equity research, consulting, investment banking, or policy analysis.
• Expertise in electricity markets, power generation, grid regulation, and energy transition policy.
• Experience engaging with senior policymakers, regulators, and industry stakeholders.
• Familiarity with RTOs/ISOs, especially PJM.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth policy and regulatory analysis across electricity, utilities, and grid sectors.
• Identify investment-relevant insights from legislation, regulation, and market trends.
• Build relationships with regulators, policymakers, industry stakeholders, and investors.
• Develop and present equity research ideas with cross-team collaboration.
• Produce high-quality written reports, policy briefings, and client presentations.
