Job summary

CardWorks Financial Group is seeking a VP, Disputes to lead end-to-end dispute resolution for Fraud, Billing Disputes, and Client Accounting. The role spans Merrick Bank and non-affiliate clients, requiring strategic process optimization and regulatory compliance.

Hybrid work is possible with Orlando, FL or Pittsburgh, PA base options. The ideal candidate will steer teams, drive efficiencies, and coordinate with Compliance, Fraud Strategy, and Operations to improve customer outcomes and risk

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field preferred.
• 10+ years in credit card disputes or related roles.
• 5+ years of leadership experience.
• Deep knowledge of dispute management and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing disputes team (credit card, fraud, billing, payment disputes).
• Define strategic direction for dispute resolution to boost efficiency and compliance.
• Ensure timely dispute resolutions, minimize losses and customer dissatisfaction.
• Collaborate with risk, fraud, learning, and change-management teams.
• Drive customer-centric improvements in the dispute process.
• Oversee budget and FTE adherence for the disputes function.
• Set and track goals, KPIs, and performance metrics.
• Coordinate with Compliance, Customer Service, Collections, and Ops.
• Advocate for customers and elevate customer satisfaction and loyalty.
• Stay current on laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
