Job summary

Deerpath Capital is a leading direct lending firm providing first lien, senior debt to middle market companies in the U.S. We are seeking a senior professional with deep private credit experience to lead underwriting, evaluation, and deal execution from origination through restructuring.

This role will interface with management teams and private equity firms, while mentoring junior staff and supporting business development efforts.

Qualifications

• Experience in private credit, direct lending, or leveraged finance.
• Proven ability to model and present investment opportunities.
• Strong deal execution and negotiation skills.
• Experience with legal documentation and term sheets.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite, execute, manage credit investments and restructurings.
• Lead evaluation of new opportunities and prepare investment committee materials.
• Oversee deal execution, underwriting due diligence, and client communications.
• Guide legal documentation process (term sheets, credit agreements, amendments).
• Mentor junior team members and monitor portfolio restructurings.
