Position Overview:

The Divisional Digital Technology Leader (WeDriveU) is responsible for meeting the day-to-day Digital Technology needs of the Division, leveraging Group-wide common Digital Services, such as email & collaboration tools, cybersecurity, hosting and mobile services, as well as common business platforms & products such as Maximo and Salesforce, and, where necessary, adopting Division-specific solutions. Playing a pivotal role in shaping the future of our organization by harnessing the power of digital technology, the Division DT Leader will collaborate with cross-functional teams, align technology initiatives with business objectives, and ensure seamless integration of digital solutions across all departments. Working closely with the Division senior executives, Group Digital Technology Leaders, and other Division DT Leaders to select, implement, operate, and enhance Digital Technology solutions to meet the Division’s Digital Technology needs in the most efficient & cost-effective way and aligned to the Group Digital Technology Strategy. The Division DT Leader will be a member of the Division Executive Committee as well as the Group Digital Technology Leadership Team (GDTL).

This role will also manage the development and implementation of our tech support framework, as well as the design of cybersecurity strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Create a comprehensive digital strategy aligned with the division's business goals and overall organizational vision.
  2. Identify emerging technologies and industry trends to proactively incorporate cutting-edge solutions into the division's digital roadmap.
  3. Lead a team of dedicated division digital technology professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
  4. Establish clear goals and performance metrics for the team, ensuring they are met and aligned with broader divisional and corporate objectives.
  5. Monitor, manage and report on key management controls (budget, people, project and product deliverables, and data).
  6. Participate fully in both the Division Executive and Digital Technology.
  7. Spearhead the digital transformation process, driving the adoption of new technologies and digitization of business processes.
  8. Oversee the implementation of digital projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality and safety standards.
  9. Collaborate with divisional leaders, executives, and stakeholders to understand their technology needs and develop tailored digital solutions.
  10. Foster effective communication and cooperation between technology teams and other business units to promote streamlined operations.
  11. Leverage data analytics and business intelligence to derive valuable insights that drive data-informed decision-making within the division.
  12. Implement data-driven initiatives to optimize business processes, enhance customer experience, and identify new growth opportunities.
  13. Monitor and manage key Service and Performance metrics to ensure the division's needs are being served reliably.
  14. Identify and deliver improvements to key Service and Performance metrics to continually improve service to the division.
  15. Maintain robust cybersecurity measures to protect the division's digital assets and customer data, in line with Group Cybersecurity policies and standards.
  16. Identify relevant cybersecurity risks for the division and develop risk mitigation strategies to ensure compliance with relevant industry and market regulations, laws, and standards.
  17. Evaluate, select, and manage external technology vendors and partners to support the division's digital initiatives, only where Group-wide contracts do not already exist.
  18. Negotiate contracts and service level agreements to ensure cost-effective and efficient partnerships, only where Group-wide contracts do not already exist.

Qualifications:

  1. A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  2. Proven success (minimum 10 years) in a digital or technology leadership role driving digital transformation within a large organization or division.
  3. Strong understanding of the latest digital technologies, including cloud computing, AI/ML, Generative AI, IoT, and data analytics.
  4. Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to align technology initiatives with business objectives.
  5. Solid experience in project management, ensuring successful delivery of complex digital projects on time and within budget.
  6. Demonstrated ability to create and execute innovative digital strategies that drive business growth and enhance customer experiences.
  7. Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive and forward-thinking mindset.
  9. Ability to work pragmatically in a fast-paced, lower margin environment, managing multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
  10. Demonstrated ability to build and retain high-performing digital technology teams.
  11. 20% travel is required.
