Job summary

Atrium is seeking a dynamic VP, Data Platform & Product Management to own the strategy, vision, and execution of a large-scale enterprise data platform. You will define how data is ingested, governed, processed, and activated across a global product ecosystem, partnering closely with Engineering, AI/ML, and executive leadership.

• 10+ years of Product Management with VP/Head of Product level leadership.
• Experience in large enterprise software or B2B SaaS.
• Proven track record building enterprise data platforms end-to-end, starting with ingestion.
• Deep technical understanding of data architecture, streaming, cloud data warehouses, lakehouse, governance.

Salary/Hourly Rate

$350k+ substantial annual bonus and long-term equity

Position Overview

Our client is seeking an accomplished VP, Data Platform & Product Management to own the strategy, vision, and execution of a large-scale enterprise data platform. This leader will define how data is ingested, governed, processed, and activated across a global software product ecosystem. The role will partner closely with Engineering, Architecture, Data Science, AI/ML, GTM, and executive leadership to build the data foundation supporting the organization’s next generation of products.

Responsibilities Of The VP, Data Platform & Product Management

• Define and own the multi-year product strategy and roadmap for an enterprise data platform.
• Lead strategy across data ingestion, storage, processing, governance, and consumption.
• Build and scale platform capabilities supporting AI/ML and analytics initiatives.
• Lead and develop Product Management teams across the data domain.
• Partner closely with Engineering and Architecture on platform scalability, reliability, security, and performance.
• Drive product discovery, requirements, prioritization, and execution.
• Define metrics around platform adoption, data quality, latency, and customer outcomes.
• Partner directly with C-level executives and senior leaders across Product, Engineering, GTM, and other functions.
• Evaluate emerging data technologies and architecture patterns, including real-time streaming, lakehouse, and distributed data platforms.
• Engage with customers and external stakeholders to help inform product and platform strategy.

Required Experience/Skills for the VP, Data Platform & Product Management

• 10+ years of Product Management experience with significant leadership experience at the VP, Head of Product, or Senior Director level.
• Experience within a large, established enterprise software or B2B SaaS organization.
• Proven experience owning and building an enterprise data platform end-to-end, beginning with ingestion.
• Deep technical understanding across modern data architecture, infrastructure, streaming, cloud data warehouses, lakehouse architectures, APIs, and governance.
• Experience leading Product Management teams across complex platform initiatives.
• Strong experience partnering with and influencing C-level executives.
• Ability to translate highly technical concepts into product and business strategy.
• Strong executive communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, highly autonomous global environment.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the VP, Data Platform & Product Management

• Experience building data platforms that support AI/ML products.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, and/or GCP.
• Exposure to technologies such as Snowflake, Databricks, Kafka, and dbt.
• Experience with enterprise data governance, privacy, and compliance.
• Experience building externally facing data products or developer platforms.
• Experience within complex, high-volume enterprise software environments.

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience is required.
• An advanced degree is preferred.
