Job summary

State Street Corporation seeks a Data Engineering Lead to design, build, and deploy scalable data solutions for fund accounting, custody, and reference data domains. You will model complex investment data concepts and lead cross-functional teams in a regulated environment.

Strong hands-on Python, Spark, PySpark, and Databricks experience are required, along with ML model deployment using OpenAI, Hugging Face, and Azure OpenAI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related field.
• Overall 12 years in IT delivery including 3 years AI/ML and data engineering.
• Strong hands-on Python, Spark, PySpark, and Databricks for large-scale data processing.
• Proven ability to design, deploy, and evaluate ML and generative AI models.
• Experience with OpenAI, Hugging Face, Azure OpenAI and orchestration tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and deployment of data solutions across use cases like document processing and automation.
• Collaborate with teams to translate business needs into data-driven workflows.
• Promote responsible practices including security, compliance, and explainability.
• Establish reusable frameworks, evaluation pipelines, and scalable components.
