Job summary

Hillenbrand seeks a visionary VP of Data & Analytics to lead data strategy, governance, and the enterprise data warehouse, while hands-on with the lakehouse platform. You will guide a global team, set the operating model, and mentor talent to deliver trusted data products and AI initiatives.

Responsibilities include establishing data ownership, quality standards, cost governance, and collaboration with security, legal, and compliance to enable informed decisions and business growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field — or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in analytics, BI, and data administration.
• Expertise in data governance, data architecture, BI platforms, and cloud data technologies.
• Strong executive communication and strategic planning skills.
• Demonstrated people leadership: building, mentoring, and retaining technical teams while remaining hands-on in the platform.
• Experience setting AI/ML and analytics strategy and standing up data or AI governance at enterprise scale.

Responsibilities

• Lead a global analytics and data team, setting strategy and hands-on platform work.
• Define data contracts, table docs, and query patterns as primary deliverables.
• Oversee data governance, quality standards, and access policies with security/compliance.
• Architect and optimize lakehouse with Delta Lake and Databricks.
• Partner with stakeholders to align data initiatives with business priorities.
• Establish cost governance for data platforms and drive ROI.
