VP Credit Officer - Underwriter for Leasing and Loan (Remote)
We are seeking an experienced Vice President, Credit officer- Underwriter to join our Credit team.
In this role, you will underwrite complex lease and loan transactions, oversee credit risk analysis, and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards. You will work closely with Sales, Finance, Risk, and senior management to drive sound credit practices while supporting business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Accountable for all first line credit risk management strategies including origination, modification, acquisition, account management (credit line underwriting, credit monitoring, credit approval authorization, and exception management), on top of collections segmentation in coordination with the internal departments, and manage portfolio efforts across all lending products (equipment finance and leases, Factoring and Floor Planning).
- Coordinate and manage with Sales to ensure the pipeline flow for credit deals are assigned to underwriters and track the progress until the approval obtained.
- Underwrite lease, loan, and structured finance transactions, ensuring compliance with credit policies.
- Partner with Sales to manage pipeline flow and ensure timely approvals.
- Monitor credit quality across portfolios, identifying risks and recommending proactive measures.
- Prepare credit approval packages and present at Credit Committee meetings.
- Oversee portfolio reviews, risk ratings, and delinquency management.
- Collaborate across departments to support new product underwriting and portfolio analytics.
- Contribute to policy updates, compliance, and internal/external audit requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field.
- 5+ years’ experience in commercial credit analysis and underwriting (leasing experience preferred).
- Strong financial analysis and credit risk assessment skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Salesforce, Aspire, or Power BI a plus.
- Japanese language skills are highly desirable but not required.

Compensation
Base pay range: $145,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr
Additional compensation types: Annual Bonus
