Job summary

JCW Group is seeking a Vice President Credit Underwriter to join its Commercial & Industrial lending team in New York. This hands-on role focuses on underwriting and portfolio management for a diverse C&I loan book, collaborating with relationship managers and senior credit leadership to drive sound credit decisions.

You will manage a portfolio typically in the multi-million range, lead underwriting for new money, renewals, revolvers and extensions, and prepare analyses for the credit committee.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in commercial credit underwriting, portfolio management, or commercial banking.
• Strong background in C&I and commercial lending.
• Experience with new money underwriting, annual reviews, renewals, and revolving credit facilities.

Responsibilities

• Underwriting and management of a portfolio of C&I credits generally ranging from $30 to $50MM+.
• Lead underwriting for new money requests, annual reviews, renewals, revolvers, extensions, and modifications.
• Analyze borrower financials, cash flow, projections, collateral, guarantor support, and overall credit quality.
• Partner closely with Relationship Managers on deal structuring, credit recommendations, and ongoing client relationships.
• Prepare comprehensive credit analyses and loan packages for senior credit leadership and credit committee review.
