BNY Mellon is seeking a Vice President, Controllers to support our Corporate Staff functions. This role is ideal for an accounting professional who brings strong technical expertise, sound judgment, and a creative approach to problem-solving.

The successful candidate will oversee financial reporting, analysis, and controls while partnering with key stakeholders across Corporate Staff areas, with 5–10 years of accounting experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• CPA, MBA, or other relevant professional certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform accounting activities supporting Corporate Staff areas, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Support daily balance sheet review and analysis for timely issue resolution.
• Support and participate in month-end close, including reviews, reconciliations, and reporting deliverables.
• Analyze financial performance, investigate variances, and provide insights to senior leadership.
• Drive transformation by modernizing reporting capabilities and leveraging data/technology.
• Strengthen the control environment by identifying risks and implementing improvements.
