Job summary

Crescent Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Vice President of Corporate Accounting at our Fairfax, VA HQ to lead the corporate accounting function, close activities, and financial reporting. You will partner with Finance leadership and hotel operations to ensure accuracy, controls, and timely reporting across the organization.

You will guide a high-performing team, drive process improvements, and strengthen internal controls while collaborating on audits and system enhancements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Significant progressive accounting experience with leadership.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience leading monthly close and external audits.
• Proven ability to lead and develop accounting teams.
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with enterprise systems.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is preferred.
• Hospitality or multi-entity accounting experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Corporate Accounting function with clear priorities and standards.
• Oversee monthly close, journal entries, GL review and reconciliations.
• Manage accounts receivable, billing, collections, and rebill activities.
• Maintain internal controls and audit readiness across filings.
• Coordinate external audits and respond to information requests.
• Partner with Hotel Accounting, Payroll, Risk Management, Ops to resolve matters.
• Drive system and process improvements using Dynamics 365 BC.
• Recruit, coach, and retain a high-performing corporate accounting team.
