Our client is seeking a hands-on, results-oriented Controller to lead and evolve their global accounting function. Reporting to the CFO, the Controller will play a critical role in building scalable processes and controls, integrating acquired businesses, and ensuring financial compliance / reporting excellence. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting skills, has operated in a private equity-backed environment, and has directly owned and optimized core accounting functions — including AR, AP, collections, billing, GL, tax, and treasury.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing accounting team across multiple geographies.
• Own and continuously improve all accounting operations: Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Collections, Billing, General Ledger, and Tax.
• Manage all audit and tax activities, including global tax and treasury oversight.
• Serve as a key partner in acquisition integration efforts, including purchase accounting and systems/process harmonization (experience with 4+ integrations strongly preferred).
• Monitor and manage credit agreements and covenant compliance.

Qualifications

• CPA required; Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance.
• Experience in public accounting, preferred.
• Strong technical accounting background with demonstrated application of GAAP in complex scenarios.
• Proven track record of integration leadership across multiple acquisitions. Acquisition experience is required (4+ integrations are strongly preferred).
• Experience in a private equity-backed and fast-growth environment.
• Operationally minded with the ability to lead process improvement and scale systems.
• Preferred: experience in a global software/SaaS business.
