Position Summary

The VP Consumer Sales will be responsible for achieving annual sales, margin and revenue objectives through the leadership and management of the sales team. In addition to leading the growth of the business, the VP Consumer Sales will develop and implement best in class performance metrics, sales processes, and collaborate on delivering compensation and incentive programs that drive performance.

This leader must be able to think strategically but also roll up their sleeves and get engaged at the tactical sales level. It is critical that this individual is a proven leader who can inspire, motivate, and develop others. This leader must be able to elevate the sales team to outstanding levels of performance, driving enhancement of the overall effectiveness, skill level, and professionalism of the sales team. The incumbent will collaborate with other key members of the executive leadership team to drive a deeper understanding of the customer and improve the ability to maximize sales and profits.

This position requires to be working in office, 3 days minimum per week from our Bala Cynwyd, PA office.

Role Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy that drives revenue growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement “best in class” sales techniques, including processes, tools, and performance measures.
  • Partner and collaborate across all store support center teams to align sales goals with organizational initiatives.
  • Develop sales forecasts, goals and corresponding initiatives based upon overall strategy, market conditions and operational capabilities.
  • Lead and mentor a team of regional leaders, cultivating and fostering high performing teams, and a highly engaged workforce.
  • Manage sales budgets, forecasts, and profitability targets. Own key performance metrics and deliver consistent growth.
  • Provide regular updates to senior leadership regarding sales activities to ensure they are well informed of the relevant issues.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and customer needs to inform strategic decision making and positioning

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in sales leadership roles, with at least 5 years in retail, service-based industry.
  • Proven strength in leading multi-unit retail/adjacent businesses of scale, preferably with roots in brick & mortar and omnichannel operations.
  • Evidence of identifying new growth channels, market opportunities, and monetization of existing assets in new ways.
  • Track record of attracting, developing and retaining talent; creates a performance culture and drives a balance between sales and culture.
  • Proven ability to create and drive successful go-to-market strategy, prioritize market opportunities, create value-based customer solutions.

  • Travel up to 5% of the time.
  • Talk and hear.
  • Ability to work under tight time constraints, handle sensitive data and multi-task so that deadlines can be met.
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize and manage time efficiently with the ability to handle stress in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
