Job summary

State Bank of Texas is seeking an Officer to lead BSA/AML compliance and risk management, guiding policy, training, and regulatory coordination. The role entails reporting to the Board and ensuring adherence to regulatory guidance while aligning with bank strategy and governance.

The position requires broad experience in banking compliance, including MSB considerations, policy interpretation, and monitoring controls to mitigate regulatory risk across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; CRCM and/or CAMS preferred.
• 7–10 years in banking with 3–5 years compliance experience.
• Experience with industry-related systems/software.
• Experience with high-risk money services business (MSB) accounts is required.
• Strong knowledge of BSA/AML regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage a risk-focused compliance program across the bank.
• Review policies to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
• Maintain current knowledge of BSA, AML and OFAC regulations.
• Monitor systems, maintain files, and perform periodic assessments for compliance.
• Interpret regulations and implement new or revised requirements.
• Coordinate with regulators and external auditors during examinations.
• Oversee training for Board and employees on BSA and compliance.
• Prepare periodic board reports on the bank’s compliance status.
• Stay abreast of regulatory changes and adjust policies accordingly.
• Comply with all applicable laws, policies, and security requirements.
