Job summary

The Goldman Sachs Group is seeking a Cloud Security Advisory professional within Technology Risk to secure cloud environments across the enterprise. You will assess designs, review architecture, develop guardrails, and embed security in SDLC/CI/CD while advising internal stakeholders and driving automation efforts.

Candidates should have strong scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, Bash), solid cybersecurity fundamentals, and cloud experience (AWS).

Qualifications

• Demonstrated proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash) for automation and security tooling.
• Fundamental understanding of cybersecurity principles and controls across networks, IAM, data protection, and vulnerabilities.
• Foundational cloud concepts with familiarity of at least one major CSP (AWS) and prior cloud project experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a technical field.
• Strong analytical and communication skills to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Conduct cloud security assessments across multiple CSPs, evaluating designs and implementations.
• Identify and analyze security risks, vulnerabilities, and misconfigurations in cloud environments and applications.
• Perform software architecture reviews for cloud deployments and create secure design patterns.
• Develop, evaluate, and document security controls and guardrails for cloud data, apps, APIs, and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to embed security best practices in the SDLC and CI/CD pipelines.
• Provide technical advisory services on cloud security to internal stakeholders and align with security policies.
• Develop scripts and automated solutions to streamline security processes and compliance checks.
• Stay updated on emerging cloud security threats, technologies, and regulatory requirements.
